Frog-legged Beetle(Sagra Femorata). Their common name derives from the striking resemblance of their hind legs to those of a frog. They dot use these for jumping. Rather, these powerful legs are used to hold tightly to the stems of plants. In this manner they remain firmly attached while feeding. This insect species is endemic to portions of Malaysia, Java, Sumatra, Borneo, and the Philippines. Within their native range they are typically found in regions of jungle.
